Changelog

2009-10-02 15:50:13traded my Korg-MS-10 for some Synthesizer.com modules :)
2009-04-17 02:26:11Mac Pro 8 Core with 8 gig\'s of Ram newest addition.

It\'s Love!

2009-03-23 21:40:33MPC2500 is a very nice machine. I am very impressed with the build and it does seem to have some mythical swing to it. I swear I have no idea how to explain it but when I real time record some 16th notes for h-hat they do seem to become alive once inside that box.

Gotta love it!

Have ordered the 128mb RAM upgrade and an 8GB compact flash card. They should be here this week.

cheers

2009-03-12 06:44:42New arrivals are the dbx 160A and the MPC2500 both from our good friends on eBay. The dbx is in new condition and the MPC2500 is as well save a small scare but working 100% None of the original samples or programs are in it.

So I am boldly going at it learning as I go; this is my first ever MPC.

Anyone out there with one? Lets chat.

Steve

2009-02-27 04:43:54OK... 3rd RNC1773 now
2009-02-07 06:09:24ordered another RNC1773--Really Nice Compressor. That takes it to two. I really like the sound of these, I will likely add a few more.
2009-02-06 21:05:07I am considering a migration to a MAC Pro... the 2009 version should be due soon, and after nearly 2 decades fighting with windows, I think I\'m ready for a change and hopefully stability with my drivers.
2009-01-15 22:23:55Recently purchased a Roland TR-626... I want to try and circuit bed this machine... we\'ll see.
2008-10-08 16:44:01I\'ve recently purchased a Korg KMS-30, and it is in transit to me. The KMS-30 has MIDI in/out, Sync in/out, and tape in/out. Any of the three can be the master clock, and the Sync connections are all switchable between 24ppqn and 48ppqn. This will allow devices with din sync to be used as the master clock, should be interesting.
2008-10-06 16:04:47Preordered my copy of Decimort and played with it a bit on the weekend inside Cubase 4, I hope to add it to some drums in an upcoming track. I have always loved the sound of the MPC60 and the early EMU samplers - I hope this will provide that edge and lovely tone of these older hunks of gear. Since ripping apart my setup, I have been slowly building it back together and improving my patchbay integration; this is a must!
2008-09-30 17:10:21I was wandering through a local music store when I came across the M-Audio LUNA... bought it and have to say it is a very nice little condenser mic... gives a smooth mid-bass presence to voice.
2008-09-22 17:43:33recently sold my Juno-6 & Korg poly-61. Both were in very good shape but it was time to thin the herd. I am also more interested in placing synthesizers in racks, thereby freeing up some space yet still having their sonic beauty, and access from a central keyboard or two.

Pilfermusic studio

This is where you will likely find me when I'm not at the doing the job... 7:30 to 4:00... sometimes even sleeping on the floor... but now there's so much stuff here I CAN'T move... gear shuffle in progress. Started building a modular, with a few Blacet Frac, Eurorack stuff and MOTM as well as Synthesizers.com 5U...
