Create your own studio

To create your own studio at Gearjunkies Userstudios, you need to have a Gearjunkies.Network-account. Once you have an account, just select the "My Studios"-link in the top-bar. You'll be taken to Gearjunkies.Network to login, and there you are: your Studio Manager!

The 'My Studio List' in the right column shows an overview of all your studios, including the number of gear-pieces that you selected into the studio (your gearcount). It is possible to create up to five (5) different setups in your Studio Manager, so there's enough to publish, your home studio as well as your live performance rig. Or even your dream-setup!

Selecting the gear

In your Studio Manager, the studio that you are working on is highlighted. To add gear to your studio, you can search by using a keyword. When the keyword produces too many results, you can do two things:

  • - Enter more keywords
  • - Select the manufacturer from the drop-down list

If you still cannot find the gear from the result-list, you can use the button 'Request gear'. This will take you to a form where you can fill out as much information as possible about the missing piece of gear. The Gearjunkies-team will pick it up and make sure that it will be available for your studio ASAP. The more information you provide, the easier it is for us to add it to the databases. You can (and why not?) use the 'UPDATE'-button to enter a description with your gear. Tell everybody something about it, why you got this special version, how you use it in your setup, what your best experiences were with it, etc. Yes, we want to know.... ;)

Adding the studio photo's

To make sure that you really show your studio as you want, you can upload photo's of your studio. Use the 'UPLOAD NEW STUDIO IMAGE'-link. This will take you to a form where you can select the image that you want to upload, as well as a description of the photo. While a picture often speaks for itself, it's cool to add some comments to it.

You can edit the description later on if you like. (Look at picture 1 please.)

Adding the gear photo's

Your gear is unique. As such, it is nice to be able to show YOUR gear in pictures to the world. You can do this by adding images to your GEAR as well! Show it from any angle or show it in action. Select the 'Add new image'-link below the gear-block.

Keeping a record of your studio - the changelog

A studio or setup is never finished. We all know that. Therefore you can keep track of what you've been doing with your studio. This is done by adding a changelog entry (select 'ADD CHANGELOG ENTRY'-link in the right column, below your studio images).

Make the changelog comment a quick and short version of the current changes. Keeping it up to date gives everybody an idea of how your studio is evolving or upgrading. (Look at picture 1 please.)

Making your studio public

Once you have selected all the gear for your studio, and you want to show it to the world, you need to make sure that the 'Publish studio'-toggle is set. As long as this is not the case, your studio will not be available for people to see, but only for you, in your Studio Manager. (Look at picture 2 please.)

Latest gear added at Gearjunkies:

Software:H.G. Fortune Alphatron
Alphatron is not just a simple VA synthesizer instead in using a 3rd oscillator with digital waves it does offer a lot more variation. Thus it can do analogstyle sounds reminding of the old Moog and Prophet days but also merge this with the digital realm in various ways to achieve sounds beyond.

Software:Sugar Bytes Guitarist
Absolutely convincing guitar riffs, combined with amps, wah pedals and effects. The actual guitar player has been transformed into a step sequencer system that allows control about playing styles, chord progressions and song structures. Guitarist can be played live as well, with just two fingers you can combine chords and patterns easily. You can choose from factory chords or just create your own chords on the fingerboard. The Action Section allows you to tweak the sequence in realtime and apply timestretch, looper or other crazy effects. Guitar players, keyboarders, producers, Guitarist is the new solution when guitar tracks are needed.

Synthesizers:Roland Juno-Gi
In the JUNO tradition of great sound, compact design, easy operation, and affordable price, the new JUNO-Gi delivers big. What propels this power-synth into another realm, however, is its supercharged feature set with over 1,300 fresh sounds, an onboard eight-track digital recorder, and pro effects created by BOSS. Write, record, mix, master, and perform anywhere with the new JUNO-Gi.
